The initiative DRAMA PANORAMA<\/a>, das forum f\u00fcr \u00fcbersetzung und theater e.v. – is currently dealing with the question of how political theater changes in translation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hier ein Ausschnitt aus der Ank\u00fcndigung: “Was ist das Politische an einem Theatertext? Sind es seine Themen, seine Sprache, die Kontexte, in denen er zur Auff\u00fchrung kommt? Fragen, die sich insbesondere die \u00dcbersetzerinnen politischer Dramatik stellen. Antworten geben sie in Form ihrer \u00dcbersetzungen. Beides, Fragen und Antworten, politische Theatertexte und ihre \u00dcbersetzung, stehen im Mittelpunkt der kommenden Veranstaltungen unserer Reihe panorama #2: \u00fcbertheater\u00fcbersetzen sowie einer in K\u00fcrze im Neofelis Verlag erscheinenden neuen Anthologie.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is a quote from their handout: What is political about a theatre text? Is it the themes, its language, the context in which it\u2019s produced? These are questions that translators of political drama especially ask themselves. They give their answers in the form of translations. Both, questions and answers, political texts and their translations, will be the focus of our upcoming events as part of the series panorama #2: \u00fcbertheater\u00fcbersetzen as well as of two new anthologies soon to be published by Neofelis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
